Parent Fundraiser and Volunteer Commitment Policy

Fundraising and volunteering are a very important part of our club’s activities, and an integral aspect of its continuing success.  We are a non-profit organization who's board members are all volunteers. We understand fundraising and volunteering can be time consuming, however we do our best to keep it easy and fun. We will have a fundraiser in November at our annual Skate-a-Thon, and another in March at our annual Ice Show. We also hope to continue offering a coffee sale fundraiser. Our Club hosts a Figure Skating Competition every two to four years, which also requires the entire club to participate in a volunteer capacity.

Each family is expected to participate in fundraising and volunteer events during the duration of the program registered for. Please ask the your program coordinator for further details. You can find the names and contact information to our board members under Contact us on our website.

We try to give plenty notice to fulfill fundraising and volunteering commitments. We will be collecting commitment $100 posdated (March) cheques from our club members at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately we will cash the cheque of those families who are unable to complete their volunteer and fundraising commitments at the end if the season. We would prefer not to collect cheques, but it's a requirement needed to encourage all of our members to fundraise and volunteer when needed. Thank you!

Undelivered cheques will reflect your account in NOT in good standing with Skate Canada.

By completing your registration you agree to the above Parent Fundraiser and Volunteer Commitment Policy
